Dr Palanisamy Sivanandy

IMU University, Malaysia

Dr. Palanisamy Sivanandy is an eminent academician and researcher with more than 19 years of teaching and research experience, and over 27 years of expertise in the pharmacy field. Since 2014, he has been serving as a Senior Lecturer at IMU University, where he also held the position of Programme Director of the Master in Pharmacy Practice programme (2021–2025). He began his career in 1997 as a Dispensing Pharmacist after completing a Diploma in Pharmacy. In 2005, he earned his Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) from Madurai Medical College, Tamil Nadu, followed by a Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm) in Pharmacy Practice from Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Paramedical Sciences, Coimbatore, in 2007. In 2013, he completed his Ph.D. at the prestigious Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai, and later passed the Good Clinical Practice Licensure Exam conducted by the Ministry of Health (MoH), Malaysia, in 2014. Dr. Palanisamy has published over 100 research and review papers in nationally and internationally indexed peer-reviewed journals. He also serves as Chief Editor and Editorial Board Member for over 10 international journals of repute. He has successfully secured numerous research grants from renowned organizations, including the Indian Council of Medical Research (New Delhi), the Department of Science & Technology (New Delhi), the Centre for International Co-Operation in Science (Chennai), and the International Medical University (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia). He has presented his research at prestigious conferences across multiple countries, including Turkey, the USA, South Korea, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, Bangladesh, India, and Malaysia.
